Reds tidbits 2014 (official thread of windshield licking)

Two comments regarding the game yesterday, not intended to be trash-talking or trolling at all. These are more like funny observations.

1. I left work earlier to catch the game at a house party with my wife and some friends. During my drive from Mason to Mt. Lookout, I had Reds pregame on. As is tradition, Marty Brenneman had the last word on season predictions. He said that Billy Hamilton will be the 4th Red to win a World Series, win an MVP and be a first ballot HOF player. He also said that the Reds will win 98 games this year. I think Marty had some drinks yesterday.

2. Hamilton may be the fastest player in MLB, but Wainwright found his "swing and miss" zone pretty easily. It was about 2 inches about his shoe laces. Not a lot of Plate discipline yet...

In regards to Marty, this is the same imbecile that wanted to get rid of Adam Dunn because he didn't run out to his position. He isn't drunk, he's fucking stupid.

As far as Bullet Billy H goes, lets just say some of us noticed he couldn't get on base in the minors and were a little skeptical about exactly how in the fuck he was going to get better at it at the MLB level. Suffice it to say "curveball scares bats" and leave it at that.

BTW, in case you hadn't noticed it's literally impossible for you to trash talk the Reds in this forum. It's not exactly a bunch of fan boys defending the honor of our dear team/players. Trash away.

Anyway, at least we don't have to watch Votto and the man whores take another orifice pounding today. I'm going to use the time to scout out the other team I follow through the season (an old Reds fan tradition sadly enough).

I'm kind of partial to the A's for some reason. I'd also like to see the Royals do well. The O's are another team I have a soft spot for from childhood memories of them being good.

I have no childhood memories of the Reds being good (I was 2 in 1990)

I was 5 in 1975. 20 in 1990. I've known the joys of winning and the appreciation for scouts and GM's that knew what they were doing. I have also known the failures of Baboone, Jerry Narron and Duh-sty Fucking Baker.

I mostly follow them now to laugh. But make no mistake. Watching these clowns for a full 162 will cause YOU to start licking windshields.

Well if its rained out that's over 48 hours the Teds have gone without losing a baseball game.

Cocksuckers are probably having withdrawal symptoms in the clubhouse.
