Pittsburgh kicked off a 20 games in 20 days stretch by getting swept in St Louis. @Texas, Cubs, Padres, Reds, @Cubs, @Reds remain.
St Louis starts a 16 games in 16 days swing tonight. Schedule is a joke though. Milwaukee, Seattle, @Colorado, @Milwaukee, Washington, Cubs.
Cincinnati will not play any stretch greater than 6 consecutive games. Time to rest. Cubs, @Milwaukee, @Astros, @Pittsburgh, Mets, Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh's rotation hasn't been as stellar as it had been and St Louis is banged up. The Reds are really in the best position both in terms of health and current state of the rotation heading towards Oct. I think the Reds likely run down Pittsburgh even before they get to the head-to-head games at the end of the season, but ultimately are unable to catch the Cardinals and their pillow soft schedule.
Best chance of winning the division outright includes taking care of business by winning every remaining series (and they're all winnable) and hoping the Cards injuries combined with lack of off-days catches up to them. The odds of both actually happening though are about 0.
