Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

Yadier Molina might be the slowest man on the planet. The Royals SS made a diving play to his right, was in the outfield grass, and still threw out Molina. It wasn't even that close.

Sean Casey not only laughs at that notion, he reminds you he was thrown out at first by an actual outfielder (sorta). :wink2:

HOLY SHIT what an ending to the Royals/Cards game (Royals win 3-2).

Tyler Greene tries to steal second with 2 out in the 9th. Should have been thrown out but the throw hits him and goes into shallow left. Greene runs to third. The Royal SS or 2B (not sure which one) tracks down the ball and throws it past the Third baseman. Greene starts running home, but the ball gets a good bounce off the dugout. Greene is thrown out by an eyelash at home to end the game.

I only got to see 3 innings of the game, but overall it was brutal baseball. Exciting, but brutal.

Anyway, Reds up 4 games.

No MLB Network for me. That is truly unfortunate.

Instead I am relegated to hearing Jon Miller ask Nomar Garciaparra what the difference is between the Euro and the World Cup.

Uhhh....Jon. One is for Europe. One is for the world.

And then I'm pretty sure Nomar said that the US was part of South America.

Fantastic futbol coverage here.

Give the guy a break. He has been spelling his name backwards his whole life. Obviously a special needs kid.

MLBN had a show on today titled something along the lines of "top 40 wackiest mishaps in MLB history" and that one was on there.. I didn't turn it on until they were down to the top 19, so it was ranked at least that high. It was funny, but some the others that I had never seen before had me laughing so hard my neighbors probably wanted to buy some of the nitrous you would normally have to inhale to laugh that hard. Sooo damn funny.. Butch Huskey would be one to see if you never have

Unrelated: I was a little pissed off last weekend about all the chanting Tigers fans. At least the Rockies are shutting them up tonight.

Valverde has given up EIGHT runs with two outs in an extra innings ballgame.
