Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

I'm still coming to grips with drafting Stubbs over Lincecum, necessitating the trade of Hamilton to Texas for some "pitching" named Volquez.

I [censored]ing hate Stubbs being on this team.

Yeah, but if they did that then Hamilton is still in center and Alonso is still on the team since they wouldn't be trading for a front end pitcher. Then Alonso will be forced to play LF. Dusty would have an aneurysm filling out the lineup card with so many lefties.

Oh wait, that would be a win too.

Yeah that Lincecum/Cueto TOR and Votto/Hamilton/Bruce/Alonzo lineup card would be hard to fill out every night.

Dusty rules override any talent. It doesn't matter if you have a team with Ted Williams, Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, and Stan Musial. You have to break up the lefties, and Brandon Phillips would still bat cleanup in that lineup with Musial batting 7th after Todd Frazier.

Skip F Schumaker will hit a broken bat HR or something.

Schuey hires Tyler Greene for his light work, and will haunt your dreams yet this season at a date to be named later.

Nice to see that after a 3 run win, we are now +3 in run differential. Basically where we were after opening day.

What happens first, the offense wakes up or the pitching stops being among the best around?

CINCINNATI (AP) ? Aroldis Chapman was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license early Monday, a few hours after it appeared he was in line to become the Cincinnati Reds' next closer.

General manager Walt Jocketty and manager Dusty Baker met with Chapman following a 4-1 win over Atlanta on Monday night to get details of the pitcher's arrest, which they didn't know about before the game.

Police in the Columbus suburb of Grove City emailed The Associated Press a copy of an arrest report showing the 24-year-old reliever was stopped after radar clocked him going 93 mph on northbound Interstate 71 shortly before 1 a.m. on Monday.

my question is what the fuck is he doing all the way up in grove city?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say looking for some of the things we all used to stay out late at night looking for when we were his age.

It's on the tee, do me proud BP.
