Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

I'm doing everything I can from tweeting Bruce, normally I'd never, but with the way he was bitching yesterday about the fans, he deserves it

He is already packed up and on his way to the airport. He will be counting his millions in Texas and doesn't give a damn about the fans. He's about to play video games and screw hot chicks all Winter. I don't think he is going to care one bit about your tweet.

I changed my mind. I would like to officially thank the Reds for losing this series. I'm flying to Seattle on Saturday and spending the entire week out there. It would have affected my entire week (and less importantly, ruined my wife's entire week) if they were playing in the middle of the day every other day.

Thank you, you sucky bastards!

In the end, I blame Walt. Dusty can only play the hand he's dealt, and that hand was shitty. The Cueto injury came back to haunt since it meant running Leake out there, and the players just didn't execute in Game 3. Dusty wasn't the one running bases in the 1st or catching and fielding in the 10th. Dusty wasn't running today when the Reds were down and needing baserunners.

Big innings happen. Errors happen. The albatross around this teams' neck hasn't changed. Can't fucking hit when it matters most. Didn't help that every Giant channeled their inner Aoki today.

Cairo and Valdez? Bleh.

Glad Walt balked at trading Ondrusek, since he was so valuable this postseason and looks like a big piece of the Reds future.

OK, I'm a Giant fan....However, I do think a majority of the Red's problems start with their manager. On paper (and record wise) the Reds may have been a better team than the Giants this year. Dusty couldn't win it all with the Giants, he bombed out with the Cubs, and (face it) he made some really bad calls for the Reds in this series. Dusty did have a very good run in San Franciso (as a coach & manager) and he seems to be a nice guy that the players like to play for; however, his teams seem have a better record in the regular season than the post season (if they get that far). He may never be a World Series winning manager.

I'll talk some crap. It sucks worse being an Indians fan than a Reds fan.

:paranoid:

The heck you say. At least they get the pain out of the way early these days. They put a bullet in your brain in July and walk away.

The Reds stab you in the stomach, piss on you while you're bleeding out, then set you on fire. Only to put the fire out with lemon juice and plunger-rape you. Which doesn't feel very good.....or so I've heard. :paranoid:

You don't need to explain any of this to us. If you read the thread you would realize what you stated is probably the nicest thing said about Dusty in this entire thread.

Oh, we've also blown a 2-0 lead in an LDS. We felt 7 straight years of that. Have the Reds ever come within one out of winning their 1st goddamned WS since Moses, only to allow a [censored]ing utility infielder to bloop in the winning run? Hell, at least Reds fans my age have experienced a WS victory. I still think it's criminal that with all of the talent the Tribe had from '94-'00-ish, they never managed to win it all.

But anyway, my condolences...I know how it feels. Fucking Ohio baseball.
