Did Bruce say something post game? Seen some interesting tweets about him

He took a page out of Jamie Ramsey's book on passive-aggressive condescension toward fans that aren't complete pollyannas.

Don't worry Jay, just one more game and you won't have to hear from us fans anymore for few months.

The quote is "Sometimes it's hard to tell whether you're at home or on the road."

C Trent Roscrans (BTW...I think using your middle name and your first initial is the first rule of being a douche) stated Jay Bruce was just answering a question. Yet he still won't answer what that is supposed to mean, and it will be in his article once his editor posts it. Yet he was fine with just posting the quote. What a fucking dbag.

There was a dude right behind me that kept heckling Stubbs and Ludwick (they definitely were hearing him). It was kind of a douchy thing to be doing to your own players in a playoff game. I mean I don't think it's that big of a deal for us to talk shit about the players here, or, where ever, but if you are at the game, support your team.

I wasn't at all impressed with the stands beginning to clear out around the 7th inning.

Here is the article.

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/story/...tbreak-cincy-fans-already-bailing-out-on-reds

It's a pretty crappy article, and I have no idea how this clears up anything. Sounds to me Bruce is blaming the fans for their shitty performance.

The worst thing is, I am a Reds fan, but I don't like this team. I hate the manager for being an awful in game manager (seems like a nice enough guy though). I hate the little fucking hippie clepto. I hate the aging hippie who bashed the Reds fans before game 2 (look it up on MLB.com, I don't feel like finding it). I don't like Stubbs because he is the worst CF in baseball and looks like a dejected kid out there every time he strikes out. I don't like how Phillips hot dogs it out there, fucks up, and then laughs about it (although overall I do like him). I don't like how Joey Votto looks like someone shot him in the knee every time he goes out there. If it's that freaking bad, maybe he shouldn't play. I don't like Jay Bruce's whiney ass.

I could pretty much do this with this Reds team

With Hanigan being the cool guy.

I dunno, booing your team and leaving early is pretty lame fan behavior at a playoff game if you ask me too.

If you don't want to get booed, don't play like shit. Giants fans did the same thing at the end of game 2. Their players are not crying like little whiney bitches and claiming they need the fans support. They manned up and won the next 2 games (although 1, and arguably both were handed to them).

Players act like it's their birthright to have fans stick around and cheer for them no matter what. They already get massive paychecks that the fans provide. How about instead of whining about the fans they say "we deserved it. We stunk it up out there today. I would love for the fans to cheer, but we need to give them something to cheer about." Some personal accountability would be nice.

BTW...I have never left a game early, and I don't boo. I normally just become a smart ass and joke with the people I came with. That is actually kind of fun. Yet I don't blame anyone for booing and leaving during that game. Especially after the performance last night. As I stated, if the team wants cheers, earn them.

I don't boo, and I don't leave early either. I don't blame the people who do though in most instances I've seen at Reds games. These are supposed professionals. They shouldn't need my urging in order to go out and do their jobs. This is the deal: they are supposed to go out and play baseball, and I cheer when they do well. It doesn't work the other way around.

We have good reason to be disappointed. The Reds and Dusty have taken a flippant, cavalier attitude about any second-guessing or sense of urgency on the part of fans all year. He always has some kind of long-game or man-management excuse for why he isn't "going for it" with his decisions. They got up 2-0 in this series, and that attitude came back. They played and managed the last two games like they didn't matter because they only needed to win one of three (and then one of two) games to advance. They played the long-game, made moves to not hurt players' feelings, and now they find themselves in a position where they have to win the one game that remains. This team lacks the talent, intelligence and fortitude to win one game on-demand. This team needed to treat Game 3 like an elimination game. That's what it was, after all. Winners would have smelled blood in the water and attacked a desperate opponent rather than sitting back and having the attitude that a win would be nice, but not necessary.
