Yeah, I understand that argument, but still do not think it was a dumb play on his part. In that situation there was nobody on base, so at best he hits a solo home run and he is facing a LHP, which we all know is not a favorable matchup for him. With runners on base I agree it makes no sense; however, with one out against a lefty and in SF, where the ball doesn't carry well, even with the wind, I find no problem with him bunting.

Geez, our baserunning is horrible. That inning turned into a nightmare. It went from 2 on no out to Votto getting injured and Stubbs running us out of a bases loaded situation.

At least now we can put Alonso in at first until Votto gets back in the lineup. Oh, wait. Fuck




Going to have to be some bad ass pitchers for the rest of this trip. They've done it before, I just don't have much faith against the Dodgers.

I just don't buy into picking and choosing. Power hitter, early in game go up and try to do some damage.

I know I'd be happy to watch Beltran or Holliday bunt early in any game we play St Louis.

The Dodgers are the worst team in baseball right now. Of course it the Reds, and it's LA.

There isn't a significant shift on for Beltran or Holliday, so it's not such a high percentage play, especially with Rolen at 3B. It's a matter of personal philosophy I guess, but I just think if they give you the base hit, you might as well take it, especially against that pitcher, in that ballpark and with nobody on base.

If the Giants are going to slide Pablo Sandoval over to shortstop when Bruce bats, I want him to drop a bunt every time.

Just as it is dumb to give away outs, it's also dumb to forsake a high-percentage opportunity to put a guy on base.

The baserunning in this game has been straight retarded.
