Reds Tidbits (2012 Season)

I sort of feel bad for Costanzo. This was his 5th year in AAA (he seems to bounce between AA and AAA, and he started this year in AA). He finally put up some good numbers in AAA, gets called up after 7+ years in the minors, and totally craps the bed. Well, at least he got one hit in the majors. That is a lot more than most baseball players can say.

Yeah.

I try to always remind myself to hate the shitty ball a guy plays and not the guy himself. Some make that easier than others. It would be hard to dislike Costanzo the guy I would imagine, same for Corky Miller and even DERP.

Shitty ballplayers to a man but guys I would thoroughly enjoying knocking a beer or six back with.

I'd like to go drinking with Freel/Farney (I drive of course) just to see how completely fucked in the head they really are.

Fucking pathetic. 1st and 3rd, no out, tie game. Frazier and Ludwick go up hacking on balls at their ankles or in the dirt.

and now mesaraco flies out. Ridiculous.

Yep. The inability of this team to get the runner in, or even to make contact w/RISP has really been the our downfall this season. Anything can happen when you put the bat on the ball, ask Garrett Jones; yet we consistently fail to do so. It's so frustrating and might cost us this victory.

Brandon Phillips just cost us a run there with his lollygagging.

huh?

please explain for those of us who are TV-impaired right now.

Sorry mate. :)

Votto fouled a pitch off of his back knee and immediately hit the dirt writhing around in pain. Took a minute to get back up. He seemed alright in the field that half inning though. I seriously got a sick feeling in my stomach when he fell down.
