Masset's been pretty damn good the past few outings to be fair

That's why I was careful with my words. Yes he's started to find his consistency which is absolutely vital to this team and the bullpen.

There is no reason to have a bum on this team like Gomes when you have Heisey.

not like Heisey is THAT much better (think he's batting .200 as a starter)...but at least he's a much better fielder

I dunno how Lewis is in the field but i'd def play Heisey and Lewis more often than Gomes

It'd be nice having another YOUNG reliable LF, along with Heisey, and I'd be more than happy to part ways with Captain DERP.

You can't just ignore his pinch hits and late game replacement hits as not happening if he starts a game.

Lewis average in the field, but better than Gomes.

He batted .200 as a starter, as a rookie. I think he deserves a chance to try to grow into it. Gomes isn't gonna get any better.

If we hold on to win today.... The Reds have won 9 of their last 11, all in division play. Impressive to say the least. Glad to say this team seems to finally be clicking.

Anyone have the numbers from today's attendance? Friday's was 32,972.. Saturday's 41,307. Impressive weekend for attendance. Then again, it was a weekend series battling for 1st place.

and the two losses were walks offs for the other team (1 where Cordero blew the save).

Brantley just said on WLW he looked a lot better in warm ups. May not mean much though.

Yonder Alonso is now playing LF. You can throw in Sappelt, and even Frazier as two more young players that can play LF.

Then why not bring him up?! Make Gomes fake an injury, go on the DL and maybe find himself. There was a point last season where he was hitting well. Don't get me wrong, if we can get a Gomes who isn't trying to DERP the ball into the Ohio River, I'll be more than thrilled. But the combination of Alonso and Heisey would be sick!
