Reds tidbits (2010 season)

BuckeyeMike80;1740689; said:
God I wish I could get Orioles games.....

Thom the Idiot just said that when the Reds hired Baker the Reds "were clearly a team on the rise"....

He's already on a roll and it's only the top of the 3rd :smash:

You actually want to watch the Orioles?

Pay for MLB.tv and you can get them. Not sure why you would though.

Why pay for things when you get can get them fro free?

It's a little different listening to the idiocy of your favorite team than that of the local team if you catch my drift.

the 3rd game was the best game Cordero pitched in the series.

IF Dusty realizes that Cordero is better when his arm isn't 100%, you guys are gonna see him 30 times down the stretch.

And then Dusty will take at least 4 years off of Cordero's career in doing so....

BP talking about his triple..

"I thought Heyward was going to catch it," Phillips said. "I said, 'Watch him catch it. Watch him catch hit. Ooh, snap, it's time to run.' I knew if he didn't catch it, it would be a triple. I knew, when I got in, that it was game over. 'Gonzie' never makes an error.' "

Select tweets from today:

@CincinnatiReds - Today's attendance was 40,871 for another sellout, putting the series total at 122,855 for the largest 3-game weekend in GABP history.

Should point out the last 3-game series to sell out was for Griffey's 500th HR back in 2004, but they didn't have the party deck over the batters eye back then, and a lot of SRO tickets now are for areas that were designated smoking sections back then too, so GABP probably fits another 1,000 today than six years ago.

@MisterRedlegs - Homer Bailey AAA rehab start Saturday night: 6.2 IP, 3 hits, 0 runs, 2 BB, 3 Ks, 83 pitches. Better. But #Reds' forgotten man?

@MisterRedlegs - Chris Dickerson is tearing up AAA in his rehab: .382/.476, 1.182 OPS, 5-5 SBs, could really help #Reds at leadoff and CF right now.

@LanceMcAlister - "Bench"-mark in July: Nix, Janish, Cairo, Heisey combined 43 for 118 (.364), 4 HR, 19 RBI

Also, Carlos Fisher has been sent down, the Reds will purchase the contract of Russ Springer tomorrow and bring him up. They do not have to make a decision on the 40-man roster for Springer until Dickerson's 60-day DL stint officially ends on Wednesday, since they're already playing a man short.
