Reds Tidbits (2006 Season)

I know it is early enough in the season to be inconsequential, but I find it mildly ironic for struggling Indian and Reds fans that those two teams are tied for the third best record in Baseball, but in the divisions standings each finds themselves behind one of the only two undefeated teams remaining.

The reds sure are hitting the ball well this year and they are scoring runs on more than just home runs. I think the starting pitching is going to be all right this year, not great but servicable. The bullpen is a different story, other than weathers, the bullpen has been terrible.

No kidding. The offense is going to need to take advantage of every single opportunity because the bullpen is going to keep the opponents in every single game.

If these three runners score, Hammond's ERA will be 189.00.

Hey! What the hell is Rick White doing? Is he throwing strikes? What is THAT all about?

Please god, tell me that red front office is stock piling these infielders and catchers to make a trade for a closer and bullpen help

One would sure as hell hope there are some trades brewing. We have the market cornored on fuitility infielders.

I love the fact were 3-1 but when your smashing the ball like we are and holding on to win by a run or two every night your doomed to failure.

Then again, if they can get 10+ Hits and 7+ Runs every night we might have a shot.

Yeah wants we see good pitching liek the Cards, we will be doomed.

It is nice to see our starters throwing into the 7th inning tho.

I actually like the lineup we had today in best, and just wish that we could stay consistent instead of rotating lineups everyday.

Well we failed to score less than 6 runs for the first time this year and suprisingly enough we lost.

Our pitchers are going to be able to give up 6 a game a lot more consistently than our hitters are going to score 6 a game.

Our bullpen is just down right bad.

Williams didnt throw bad today, but he didnt make some key pitches when he needed them.

Also can anyone explain to me WTF Ryan Freel is benched for Tony fuckin' Womack. Can the manager step back from his bottle for aday or two and not just throw darts and see who is starting on that day. Freel leading the league in stolen bases with 5. Has drawn at least 4 walks if not more and his hitting the ball to get on base. What more do you want from your leadoff guy. O yeah thats right we want a washed up guy that used to be able to all those things.
