OnJumped on the $53 sale (plus 10 gift card) from Newegg. It also went on sale for 47 this week. Cheapest yet was a super shady Mexican Facebook sale in the 30s.

Only an hour or two in. Visuals are stunning. Happily exploring and hunting and enjoying some nature. It's slightly refreshing 
Overall this is going to be a really good game, albeit slow (which is fitting). No need to race to get this as it will be a very long playthrough, but I doubt it drops much below 45. GTA Black Friday price expectations are faulty as that came out half a year earlier
That said, the horse canter/gallop animations are awful. They did everything else so well, even the head turns, it's surprising that they failed so badly on those. The fun part is that a quick Google search yields almost universal admiration of the horse animations.
