Recruiting Rankings: Rivals100, Scout Regional/State, Scout Top 100 Juniors

Both Torrey Davis and D'Anglo McCray are overrated imo. Good players but not 5 stars. I agree with you bgriff-Berry is likely one of the best in the country. James Wilson and James Scott were both too low. I think they did rate Hankerson well though.

The reason why Scout ranks a kid like Berry so low, is b/c they don't have an ath category, and he doesnt have much film of db where he will play in college.

I know I'm late and have been reading how Ohio is this and that for saftey....but....I was looing at the Top 15 safties this year and the state of Ohio has 4 [Ohio State is in contact with 6]. It's amazing.

#1 Clifford
#4 Berstine [staff is in contact]
#7 Wright [staff is in contact]
#10 Oliver [Verbal]
#12 Peake [Might not even get an offer]
#15 Morrow [Might not even get an offer]

I personally am very happy with both Rival's and Scout's top 100/250s. Some programs actually recruit based on Scout/Rivals rankings alone, while tOSU has proven time and again to be very good talent evaluators.

The more screwed up these rankings are, the less tOSU has to combat with other programs for the kids on their board (especially from OOS schools with little local knowledge)

Thinking outside the box, I see.

As a little tidbit of info, Bob L. will be taking over the Midwest rankings for scout.com now. He has said that Chris Pool has "moved on" to other things. He said that Barksdale will be listed as a DT and moved up in the rankings as well as others like Clifford and Martin.

Not only Bob, but Greg Powers will also be playing a major role in the MidWest and NE rankings.

Congrats Greg!
