Well Mr. Pool has really hit a low in my opinion of evaluating talent.

I know it is a just a matter of opinion, but I am pretty sure just about every scUM fan would be more than willing to trade Jeremy Finch for at least 3 to 4 guys that are below him.

You can also not tell me there are 8 players better than Ben Matin, especially CJ Peake, and same goes with where he has Clifford and Barksdale.

Pool is a joke. He also thinks he is the end all when it comes to talent evaluation. Scout should be very embarrassed this year.

Guys rated below Finch that I'd trade for Finch just off the top of my head:

Ben Martin
Joe Barksdale
Eugene Clifford
Dionte Allen

I agree with everybody about Chris Pool. The guy isn't the greatest at evaluating talent and every year he takes a big hit in credibility with Michigan fans when it comes to him just pimping a PSL kid. He's doing it again this year with Cedric Everson. There is just no way on gods green earth that Everson is a better prospect than Dionte Allen. Pool did the same thing with Talonnie Russell and even said plenty of times that Russell was a better back than Kevin Grady. How'd that work out for ya Pool?

Clifford should've been a Top 5 midwest talent, Barksdale, Dionte Allen, and Ben Martin all should've been in the top 10 at worst.

Exactally. I also think that he is close with Everson's dad, b/c he has said on more than one occasioin that he had him fax him all the offers.

At least he occasionally sticks up for the Midwest kids that deserve to be ranked higher.

When you have someone like Duane Long, why wouldnt you ask him for his top 10 or so players in Ohio? Instead they make themselves look like complete morons. Scout.com has so much SEC and Pac-10 bias its hilarious.

i'm still waiting for anyone from scout to respond to my inquiry regarding offer lists.

when i was told that they didn't use offer lists as a gauge in rankings (despite newberg saying the exact opposite in the past) i pointed out that while they repeatedly said that they can't evaluate every prospect, that offer lists illustrating college coaches that did evaluate these prospects would solve that problem.

Both Torrey Davis and D'Anglo McCray are overrated imo. Good players but not 5 stars. I agree with you bgriff-Berry is likely one of the best in the country. James Wilson and James Scott were both too low. I think they did rate Hankerson well though.
