Yes this is spam...and yes I am at the mercy of the other mods if they want to perma-ban me for this post.

Introducing RecruitingPlanet...the newest off-shoot of the model that all of you have helped build here at BP. Thanks to the vision and efforts of our own Clarity, other fans will have the opportunity to create something similar to the recruiting forum here on BP for their school. We will hopefully be tieing in the recruiting forum here on BP to RP but in the meantime they will stay seperate. Don't worry...BuckeyePlanet isn't going anywhere. This is just an opportunity for fans of other schools to create their own version of BP. So far we have had people working in the Wisconsin, PSU, Michigan, Rutgers, West Virginia, Illinois, Pitt, ND, etc. forums and have done a fantastic job. So we urge all of you to sign up at RecruitingPlanet, but more importantly help us spread the word...especially to people you know who are fans of other schools. As you've seen here at BP, a site like this is only as good as its membership, and that is what we are looking to build at RP. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to PM myself, LordJeffBuck or osugrad21.

Neat and glad to hear it. I have to say this though, while this site and forum offer some unique and cool items, it's really not the forum that makes this site great. What makes this site great are the moderators who keep this place free of the garbage that appears on almost every other forum. So, if any other groups want to have something as nice as BP, they're going to have to pony-up the mods to keep the discourse civil and on-point. Beyond that, having some folks with some legit connections really helps too...

OK, you can now extract me from the ass kissing of the mods...

By the way, if anyone here has a secondary team of interest, let us know and we'll consider making you a moderator of that team's forum. We've got adequate coverage for Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Penn State, Rutgers, and a few others, but most of the forums are currently unmoderated.

No Arizona State? :p

If you add ASU and Arizona Wildcats, I can urge some of my football-loving friends out there to contribute.

A couple of quick thoughts/suggestions:

It might be easier/quicker to scroll through teams of interest if only the conferences are initially shown on the forum screen. And then by clicking on the conference of interest to the viewer, have a general discussion area plus the subforums for individual teams. That way the general discussion area will serve as an area for fans of schools that are smaller, and don't warrant their own subforums.

That way conferences like the MAC could have a general discussion area, and all recruiting stuff could be discussed in there.

Also, I'd be willing to pitch in for the college football discussion forum.

More team and collapsible conference sections are in the fairly near future. There's a Community Chest forum there for suggestions... have at it. :)
