Recreational Boats

I'm looking to buy a boat for skiing, wake boarding and just basically hanging out. I have no idea what I'm looking for and would appreciate some suggestions. I want to keep it at $30,000.00 or so.

Hard queston to answer, but I am a huge fan of the hurricane deck boats. If you look a couple years old, you can easily get a kick ass one for under 30k. Beauty is, they have models that are perfect for fishing, skiing, etc. I myself prefer the option for both.

I checked out those Hurricane Boats before. I thought they were pretty nice but a bit overpriced for everything they do. Nice though.

We're saving for a Yamaha 212ss next spring (or I'd buy the 230 for the right price) I need the more horsepower to get my butt up on a wakeboard.
Figured that the low draft of the jet boat would be better for these shallow lakes around here. I visit here for tips on what I'm expecting next year.

yep, 3 of them

got a custom aluminum hull 14' with a 30 yamaha (looks a lot like this, but built a lot sturdier since it ain't mass produced)

got a 20' Hanko (local boat building company) with a 130 yamaha. Mine is set up just like this one

and my dad and I also share a 20' Wellcraft Cuddy Cabin with a 4 cylinder Mercruiser inboard/outboard
the one in this pic is 1000x's newer (and prettier) than ours, but you get the hint
