Reasons Fantasy Football Made Me Want to Punch a Baby This Week

I'll put this here for some more visibility, but need the regular Fantasy footballers to chime in- @DA-Bucks @AuTX Buckeye @Buckeneye

I've been playing TE musical chairs all year- currently sitting with Tim Wright (TB). I'm tied for 2nd place, somehow, but looking for some playoff push. Trade offer:

Give up Andre Johnson for Greg Olsen (...and Andre Brown, but whatever).

Now understand, my other WRs are: DeSean Jackson, Victor Cruz, Alshon Jeffrey, and I just picked up Michael Crabtree (expecting good things). I could easily start those first 3 and be alright I think, though I like the trend Johnson has been showing with Keenum. But I'm a black hole at TE...like 10.2 and 9.5 (Kyle Rudolph) are my highs with every other score hovering around 2pts the other 8 games lol.

I'm 6-4 in a very competitive 10 team pay league. Do I roll with Tim Wright and stick with the WRs that have helped me score the most points in the league (ok, that was Drew Brees)?...or do I upgrade TE?

Other trade offer talked about with a guy before this week was Give up Alshon Jeffrey for Jordan Reed. Unfortunately he got knocked out of the playoff picture so I'm not sure what interest he has in going through with it. Could definitely ask. I like that one more, I think.

first one.... fuck no
second one .... yeah i'd do it.

overall its been a very mediocre year for TEs... I picked up Bennett first week and have ridin him through wins and losses...

The thing about Jeffrey is that he's come on so strong and if Marshall isn't getting the ball, Alshon is. (Pretty sure TE's dont exist in Cutlers world)

While you may be in a bind for TE's, you're also trading away a premium WR. Cruz is hit and miss with Manning. Jackson has been great but he's always one
decent tackle away from being hurt. I wouldn't give up Johnson for anything at this point.

I myself would toss Cruz and Crabtree at him. Only because when Crabtree gets back, the gameplan for the Niners is still going to be so very
run heavy that I can't see him exploding on the scene day 1. Or maybe shop Cruz and a bench player? As of right now, I wouldn't give up Johnson or Jeffrey.

Good call on Cruz, think I'll try that. He is hurting for WRs so its an upgrade. He has Julius Thomas at TE so he's set there. Just not sure any TE is worth it at all. Made it this far without one.

Is Greg Olsen or Jordan Reed any more of an upgrade over Tim Wright (bit of a new kid on the block, but could be decent)? Just don't trust any of them.

Says he'll take Cruz for Olsen.

That leaves DeSean Jackson, Andre Johnson, and Alshon as my starters, with a hopeful Crabtree return in a couple weeks as my backup. Gets Tim Wright (who?) out of my lineup and puts Olsen at starting TE.

I still have my doubts. Think I've made like 2 trades in my 6 years of playing FF.

I think Reed is the better option overall. Its really up to you... I just look to try to get something outta my TEs. If Bennett goes off awesome if not a #1/#2 receiver should get you more than a TE on a regular basis

Yeah, just gonna go with it. Luckily I've got the WRs to fill in and I really think Crabtree can do something late in the year.

Plus, I almost don't like having the decisions each week with that many WRs

Ok, so in the one cursed league I didn't make the playoffs (go figure), but I am in the championship of my 12-team money league that I won last year with 900$ on the line (I still get $300 if I lose). Considering how many shekels that is, I need some advice:

1) Dennis Pitta against NE, or Jordan Cameron against the NYJ? Pitta has torched NE in the past and Cameron has been in a slump, plus he is questionable for Sunday. However, the NYJ are AWFUL against TEs. I've got Pitta in right now.

2) My flex: I've had Mendenhall there tearing it up the last few weeks, but he faces Seattle. Then I have both Hakeem Nicks and Reuben Randle against an awful Detroit secondary, with Victor Cruz out. I have a feeling at least one of these receivers will have a big day...Nicks usually gets good yardage but hasn't scored a TD all season, but Randle usually gets the TDs, albeit with less targets. I'm leaning Randle right now, as I think his targets will increase dramatically with Cruz out.

My lineup now looks as follows:

QB: Peyton Manning @ Houston
RB: DeMarco Murray @ Washington
RB: Knowshon Moreno @Houston
WR: Jordy Nelson vs. Pittsburgh
WR: Eric Decker @ Houston
TE: Dennis Pitta vs. New England/Jordan Cameron @ NYJ
FLEX: Reuben Randle/Hakeem Nicks @ Detroit or Rashard Mendenhall @ Seattle or Nate Washington @jacksonville
D/ST: KC Chiefs vs Indianpolis
K: Justin Tucker vs. New Englad

honestly with Cruz out Id go with Randle

and Id also go with Pitta

In the final for the money league I've been playing longer than some of you have been alive (1988), and I'm torn at QB. Foles or Cutler? The outcome of some games this afternoon could make tonight's Eagles-Bears game meaningless for one of the teams, which would probably be the trump card.

Lesean McCoy has a great match up, as long as the game means something for Philly. That only happens if the Cowboys lose today. A Dallas win means the NFC East will be decided next week no matter what the Eagles do tonight. If so, how much does McCoy play?
This kind of stuff is why we stopped playing the championship match in week 17. :argh:
