The biggest thing I noticed was the Offensive Line. Was it just me or did it seem like on running plays they didn't use that side step zone block anymore? To me it seemed like they actually drive blocked a few times. Yes it was against Indiana, but that first step going back and to the side was not there.
Also, Dionte Johnson coming in and making a difference. I don't know why but I have seen less of Joe as the FB. Johnson actually stood up the linebacker and that does make a ton of difference.
I have been in Zwick's corner and still think he will eventually be the better QB. But Smith did impress me on his short passing. His long passes left something to be desired but I will leave that to first significant real gameplay and adjusting to game speed over practice speed.
Besides this, I will leave this as being Indiana and will wait to see what happens next week against a real team. But overall I feel this is a good first step and was needed to gain confidence.
