Does anyone know if Rod showed up yet? I've been looking forward to watching him play.

Smith hurting his chances to contribute
Incoming freshman running back Rod Smith still is dealing with paperwork issues and has missed his second day of practice today, an Ohio State spokeswoman said.
RB Rod Smith not here. Obviously, this is more than a matter of filling and filing a few papers. It likely is an NCAA clearinghouse issue, which cost Jermale Hines some time in his freshman season of 2007. You have to take Jim Tressel at his word, that Smith has met his academic requirements, but now it's just a matter of time -- more time than first thought.
Former Harding star in the house
Ohio State freshman running back Roderick Smith was at the game watching his younger brother, Jaylon, play for Luers.
The 2010 Harding graduate is awaiting academic clearance from the NCAA to begin practicing with the Buckeyes after completing two summer school courses.
not to be rude, or go down that path... but, if the kid got the work done in the classroom-none of this would have been in play...Honestly, how long does something like this have to take.
The kid is in limbo.
Look things over and tell him yes or no.
you might not want to make assumptions about situations you don't understand. This is not a kid who just slacked offjimotis4heisman;1750720; said:not to be rude, or go down that path... but, if the kid got the work done in the classroom-none of this would have been in play...
hence why i really dont want to go down that path. its a tough situation, it could have been avoided, and im willing to bet 99.9% of the people on this site hope it ends up just like i do-rod has a long successful career and diploma in hand.you might not want to make assumptions about situations you don't understand. And yet you chose to without all of the facts.hence why i really dont want to go down that path
AGAIN, your assumption is quite faulty here. This isn't someone who didn't take things seriously and had to scramble at the end.its a tough situation, it could have been avoided
