I don't even think the staff will have him carry a heavy load next year, IMO. If he's platooned with McCall and Teague and kept fresh, it'll benefit them all. Just like they've been doing when Weber was there.Glad for Mike, sticking around to get healthy can only help him with a good draft. Also should be beneficial to JK, who will only need to carry a large load for one season instead of two thanks to Weber coming back.
I'm especially happy for Weber for being in the unenviable position of being the guy to follow the legend that was Zeke Elliott. And yet he had a not too shabby year as a starter going over 1000yds, and constantly hearing the fans' opinions that he couldn't break the long run like Zeke. And then the following year, having the spotlight taken from him by a true frosh in JK. All the while he stayed humble and just kept playing his game, and used the shared backfield as a plus to his game. IMO, this should only help Weber, as his game will fit well in a number of teams who need a RB to fill a particular role. Mike will be a solid mid round pickup
