Weber always has the ball in his left hand.

He's not the fastest, most explosive, or most powerful RB, but his excellent vision allows him to be really effective.

He breaks more tackles than you would expect for a RB his size.

Who does that sound like? Emmitt Smith.

Now I realize the odds of Weber having the same career as Smith are practically 0, but their styles of running are practically identical.

I would probably get the shit negged out of me on the old platform; but I thought Bike Hart reminded me a lot of Emmitt Smith. Mike Weber: less so, different style.

I've been surprised by his quickness laterally at the line of scrimmage. Seems when the hole is congested, he can jump cut or bust toward the edge with so much speed and never really lose acceleration while adjusting the vertical attack point. It will pay off as a distance run one of these tries.

Yes... I think he may be better at this then zeke or Hyde too. Now let me say he has no where the breakaway speed that Hyde or Zeke had but I think laterally due to his shorter stature he really can get in and out of his cuts quick.

I re watched the OU game and the play where he was stuffed and the bounced it wide for 15 was so impressive to me. Just a physical, strong and quick guy.

I myself knew he would do this. He just has that stature and demeanor where he just looks like a great RB. With that said I really hope In the games that we put away quick in the next few weeks that we get him out of the game early.

We need him late in the year.

WEBER LEARNED FROM THE BEST. Heading into the season, only Ohio State fans who took the offseason off were worried about Mike Weber replacing Ezekiel Elliott toting the magic diamond.

The bigger question was if Weber could replace Elliott in the smaller aspects of the job, like picking up a blitzing linebacker on third down.

I didn't say he was BETTER...I Said more consistent. Yes zeke averaged like 7 a pop but how many runs over 50 did he have? I don't have the numbers but it was a lot.

Mike also averages over 7 without as many long runs so yes more consistent may be accurate. Yes it's early in Mike's career and I do not consider him better then zeke let me make that clear. I just think he has to get the job done a little different then zeke.

OK, quibble, quibble. quibble - Like Zeke, this kid does all the little "off camera things." He blocks, he catches, he carries out the fakes. He's well on his way to rushing for a K +.

Archie.... hmmmmm. Better than Eddie George? Better than Zeke? Were any of them better than Keith Byars?

I think not - but I can understand why others might disagree.

Prior to his broken foot, Byars was the second or third best runner I had/have ever seen play the game. OJ might be ahead of Keith in my opinion, but I need to add that OJ was no Jim Brown.
