RB Maurice Clarett (B1G Freshman of the Year, National Champion)

Meant to post this a few weeks ago. UCONN’s Men’s Basketball coach Dan Hurley credits Mo as instrumental in his teams culture and success (back to back National Champs). He’s been serving as an inspirational speaker to them for years.

And a second video about Mo committing to Tress.

What a wild and bizarre journey for this man but I’m so happy for his success.

It's been incredible watching Mo totally turn his life around. What a story.
One wonders how different things would have been if NIL had been around in 2002. He would have had a shit-ton of money tossed at him, and probably would have played for tOSU in 2003 and 2004 without filing the lawsuit against the NFL.

Whether he would’ve had the maturity to deal with that alternate life path back then is anybody’s guess, but it’s good to see where he’s at now.

I don't think we'd need to guess, unfortunately.

Crazy how life can be. Clarett is personally in my top 3 favorite Buckeyes all time. It’s great seeing him turn his life around and help student athletes in a way that he didn’t get himself. Sure, I know Tressel did everything he could, but there’s something to a guy who comes from a neighborhood similar to your own and closer to your age than your coaches.
