RB Master Teague (3rd Team All B1G)

Yuck. 6 months indicates a tear probably? And that’s likely 6 months of recovery before looking at Tuf Borland-type movement on the actual field. Or a Cooper re-aggrevation. Maybe he’s back for a stretch run? Achilles are bad so I won’t get my hopes up.

Luckily he’s young, in shape and in good care.

Edit - okay the phrasing of update below sounds better. Get healthy young man.

Big Ten conference has been at the forefront of allowing 1 free transfer and now the NCAA as a whole seems to be aligned with that agenda. Not sure when that policy change would go into effect but you never know.

Timing of his transfer is pretty crazy if this worked out. News came out around noon on Monday and now the Bucks need an RB today.

As a follow up to this, the earliest the new policy could be adopted is 2021, and that's if the rest of the conferences are on-board.

Sampson will not be eligible to play next year, unless he were to be granted some type of a hardship, but that appears unlikely.

what a shame. should be one of the better O-lines we've seen in a while...... and now without an experienced RB to run behind them. Somebody needs to step up or it's going to become a pass-heavy offense.

I really think we'll see a grad transfer sooner than later. I keep blowing that whistle, and it hasn't happened yet, but I have to think they're looking for experienced depth. There's a ton of quality out there, even if its not in the portal currently. You have to think all of the senior RB's that have graduated at their current schools, are putting out back channel "feelers" to see if OSU would be interested. And vice versa.....

Not sure if it's fair to these individual players, but guys like:

-Kylin Hill (Mississippi State)
-Trey Ragas (Lousiana Lafayette)
-Spencer Brown (UAB)

Just throwing out some guys who opted against coming out in draft to return for final seasons at school, and are technically eligible to transfer. You'd think any of these guys would see OSU as opportunity to significantly elevate their draft stock.

I would think OSU would be looking at a list of guys along these lines.....keep in mind, Fields had essentially back-channeled with OSU before it was even announced he was transferring. I kind of expect something similar in this situation.....

This. I have to guess that there have been some interesting calls fielded in Columbus in the last couple of days.

And placed from Columbus ...

Don’t think is fully true unless you consider communication after the Fields camp made contact first.

They LOVED the development of Haskins and wanted Justin to be in a system that featured his arm moreso than zone read.

They reached out to OSU to gauge interest and OSU was all over it. Everything after that was basically a smokescreen

Austin Ward from Lettermen Row reporting that it is, in fact, a tear of the Achilles.
