RB Legend Bey (Official Thread)

From 11W: Bey’s accomplishment is noteworthy considering he missed Ohio State’s first two practices for violating team rules. Whatever he’s done in practice since, he has overcome that early speed bump and regained the trust of Ohio State’s coaches. Ryan Day, Carlos Locklyn and Mickey Marotti have been impressed with his performance on the field and in the weight room, as well as his attention to detail in meetings.

No hype with this kid at all

Jeremiah Smith Sees a Heisman Trophy in Legend Bey’s Future

“I think I said this back in spring. I said to Luke Montgomery, I said, ‘Before Legend Bey leaves Ohio State, he’ll be a Heisman finalist, or he’ll end up winning it.’ The things he’s been doing in practice have been pretty special,” Smith said on Wednesday.

Sources told Eleven Warriors that Bey has earned reps with the first-team offense this week. His rise toward the top of the depth chart – or, at the very least, toward a meaningful role during the regular season – comes after he missed the first two practices while serving a suspension for violating team rules.

Since that early speed bump, Bey has regained the trust and confidence of head coach Ryan Day, running backs coach Carlos Locklyn and his teammates.

Last guy I can recall that came in as a freshman, got in the dog house instantly and still started/played Day 1 was MoC?

I mean at a place like what OSU has become, they have dudes and they can't keep you off the field..you are a Dude.
Then I guess it's appropriate that Mo is ringing the Victory Bell on Saturday. I was at the Texas Tech game when Mo C took over the game. I think we've waited long enough for another freshman phenom (not counting the WR room).

Just want to say I loved Pittmans demeanor and hard work, but Beanie should have been on the field more as a freshman. He was the a freshman phenom IMO.
