Given the above, maybe Smith will add a 'halfback toss' play. Have the halfback get hand-off, run into the flat, and then heave it downfield to WRs when the DBs come up to stop his run.....

My favorite play from 2024 was bringing Jeremiah in motion like he was going to take a toss sweep, dragging the defense with him which left the space he'd left wide open, and having him shift back, take a pass, and waltz in. I'm sure there's a designation for that play that's above my pay grade, but my point is that we could, assuming that Legend is as advertised, set that play up earlier in the year by running him, as I'm sure we will, on jet sweeps.

Legend is an early favorite for the Newcomer of the Year Herbie. He was developed at Tennessee into the player he is today, before transferring to Ohio State. Tennessee plays in the SEC, where it just means more. So in the end, this is really similar to the Caleb Downs and Justin Fields situations.
