RB Legend Bey (Official Thread)

I hate when they call someone a"poor mans" anything. The poor are the ones fighting and winning or fucking wars and have been.

I'll take a poor hungry guy in a fight over a rich kid any day.

I don’t really care for player comparisons in general. I mean I know Day is at minimal a good ball knower but prime Hill is an incomparable player to anyone. He is absolutely one of the most explosive and fastest wide receivers ever.

I don’t really have a point. Oh well still posting, sorry everyone.

I think you’re missing the point of “poor man’s”. He’s saying he just reminds him of Hill. A young, less refined version of Hill. Just like Sayin is comped as a “poor man’s” Drew Brees. He plays similar in style but isn’t at the same level as Brees, but might be one day.

Oh I understand the vernacular, I just don't like it.

Ohio State WR Jeremiah Smith signs off on the hype for this exciting freshman

Ohio State's best player is as excited about this player as everyone else is.

Spring practice is fully underway for the Ohio State football program. The goal for Ryan Day is to find a way to integrate the 51 new players on the roster. He has to figure out how to replace talent from a defense that was the best in the country a year ago. There might be four Buckeyes taken in the first round of the draft from the defense.

Offensively, the Ohio State Buckeyes have a lot of talent returning. They bring back four of their starting offensive linemen, only losing their least effective one from a year ago. They also bring back the best player in the country in Jeremiah Smith, who has promised to be even better.

Smith has been around long enough to see a ton of talent come through Columbus. He is co-signing some of the hype that has been coming out of spring practice for freshman running back Legend Bey, who has been one of the most impressive players so far.

Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith loves what he's seen from Legend Bey

Bey has been turning heads while he has been working out with both running backs and receivers. Smith let everyone know that he likes what he's seen from Bey so far.

Ryan Day Says Legend Bey Has Missed “A Couple of Practices” This Spring, Hopes to Have Him Back Soon

“Legend has been out here for a couple of practices. Hopefully we can get him back here soon. He certainly flashed when he was in there, but making the transition from being a quarterback to playing running back is two different things, especially at Ohio State.”

I just saw this...YIKES! That's one of the biggest physical leaps I've seen from a HS about to college Frosh, and we're not even close to being through summer training. This kid could see the field asap, I already thought he would with his play making ability but if he's got the build to absorb some hits he could get significant PT. Obviously he'll need to learn the play book and mesh into the offense, but he's at least got the building blocks there already to play now.

Yeah, I didn’t think he’d see the field much other than maybe ST, and now I’m thinking he may find a way into the RB rotation in year 1. He looks so much more bigger and if he doesn’t lose much speed, he’s easily the change of pace back
