Especially, after watching his HS tape in which he tore up some of the best HS athletes in the nation. So he was involved in some bad stuff last weekend, doesn't make him any worse of a player. Kid is a stud. Can't wait to see him tear it up.
One person suggested that Berry's height was possibly a detriment, and then about ten people immediately disagreed with him. That's hardly a case of "some people" questioning his ability. Unless, by "some people", you mean "one person".Taosman;1484677; said:There's no doubt some are just "piling on" as a result of the off the field stuff. And the relative disappointment with Mo Wells. The same people would have loved Javon Ringer or Tyrell Sutton here. I would have.

I read the rumor mill thread and didn't see a bunch of people questioning Berry's talents/potential, but then again, I wasn't looking for it at the time, so maybe I missed it.southcampus;1484694; said:Not just in this thread, but also in the mill.

I don't think that I made a very good attempt at getting out what I was really trying to say. My issue isn't with JB or his height per se, and I hardly question his ability. I think that the subtle point that I was trying to make was lost on the height comment alone. It is, as people have pointed out, not a matter of height. It is a matter of frame, vision, running style and what I think is an issue the team has had over the last couple years... an OLine that can create a hole that is suitable for a back of JBs stature, speed and vision to get thru. And again, I look forward to his success in S&G...
My apologies if the comments were not taken as intended.

BUKEsqBuck;1484830; said:I for one do not question the talent or the potential of JB and to see the haters flock to this board in that regard frustrates me to no end. I think it should be known the the vast majority (and sane contingent) of BuckeyeNation supports JB and does not possess the same "chicken-little-mentality" as being exhibited by you johnny come lately naysayers.
Bucky Katt;1484854; said:"Haters"? "johnny come lately naysayers"? Really? I haven't seen anything that would even come close to qualify as "hating" on Jaamal.
NFBuck;1484867; said:It appears people like to multiply critical posters, or create imaginary criticisms of certain players so they can defend him and say "I told you so" later to said imaginary masses. Even if they're really saying it to a very select few. I don't get it either.
