“He’s a great young back, man,” Ingram said. “He had a great career at Ohio State. That’s what this league is all about, especially running backs. Being able to pay the game forward. I had guys that paid the game forward to me. Just to be able to pass the game down — pass knowledge down — anything he wants to know. I’m there to help him. I’m there to support him.”
Aside from just repaying the favors that others did for him, Ingram believes helping Dobbins is his responsibility because it makes the entire team better. Making sure everyone is at their best means the team as a whole is stronger.
“You just try to, you know, you’re only as strong as your weakest link,” Ingram said. “So, you try to bring everybody on. You try to have everybody playing at a high level, everybody competing at a high level. He’s a good young dude. He reached out to me when he got drafted. He didn’t have to do that. We’ve been talking through the offseason, and we’re finally in the building together. That chemistry will keep getting stronger, and I’ll keep helping him.”

J.K. DOBBINS
He may have slipped to the late second round, but J.K. Dobbins is already turning heads in Baltimore with more than just his rushing ability.
Earlier this week, Dobbins showed off his hands and his receiving ability, hauling in an absurd touchdown in the back corner of the end zone.
We knew Dobbins was going to be a problem out of the backfield, but if he's making defenses look silly as a receiver...

As a Browns fan that draft pick pissed me off more than anything in the draft. Dobbins is going to be an incredible fit in that offense. They have the pieces to have a new age triple option that will be unstoppable if they want to go that route.

Mark Ingram shares early impressions of J.K. Dobbins
The Baltimore Ravens picked up two dominant wins to start the 2020 NFL season, with last Sunday's 38-6 home rout of the Cleveland Browns and Sunday's 33-16 road victory against the Houston Texans. At the forefront of the Ravens success is an offense that, in addition to being led by 2019 NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, has a deep running backs group.
On the Ravens' depth chart, veteran Mark Ingram leads the way, but rookie J.K. Dobbins has flashed. In a guest appearance on the Monday Night Megacast with ESPN's Rece Davis and Kirk Herbstreit, Ingram was asked about Dobbins entering Week 3.
"Of course, man," Ingram said. "The young bull — he's a baller, man. So we're going to get him right, for sure."
In two games against the Texans and Browns, Dobbins took nine carries for 70 yards (7.8 average) and a pair of touchdowns. Both came against the Browns, when he received a bulk of his touches on seven rushes for 22 yards (3.1 average). Against the Texans, Dobbins took a couple of totes for 48 yards (24.0 average).

The Ravens selected Dobbins from Ohio State with the No. 55 overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. As the unquestioned lead back in 2019, Dobbins embraced his workhorse role during a junior year in 2019 that saw him take 301 carries for 2,003 yards (6.7 average) and 21 touchdowns in 14 games, surpassing Eddie George's previous single-season school record of 1,927 yards from 1995.
"You just try to, you know, you're only as strong as your weakest link," Ingram said. "So, you try to bring everybody on. You try to have everybody playing at a high level, everybody competing at a high level.
"He's a good young dude. He reached out to me when he got drafted. He didn't have to do that. We've been talking through the offseason, and we're finally in the building together. That chemistry will keep getting stronger, and I'll keep helping him."
