RB J.K. "All Day" Dobbins (2017 B1G CG MVP, 2019 1st Team All-American, Los Angeles Chargers)

ahh, why not?

Judy's one of my favorite singers of all time. I even played piano in the pit for her 50 years ago (Memorial Auditorium on Broad St.). My mother introduced me to her when I was ten, via "The Wizard Of Oz". From that time on, I was hooked, but I had to hear her sing first. Once I see JK in action, I'm quite sure I'll be all in with him, too. Until then, thanks, friend, and just for the record, the anticipation is killing me (but that's a good thing!) :urban1::urban2:

Not the same thing at all. Out of HS Judy was an underrated 3 star singer with few offers from quality studios.

Except that she was part of the singing trio, the Gumm sisters (her given name was Frances Gumm). It wasn't until she auditioned for Roger Edens and Arthur Freed @ MGM that her rich talent was discovered. When Shirley Temple was proven vocally inept for the part of Dorothy in "Wizard", they gave the part to Judy. She had it all the time, as we now know. Don't take my word for it.....all of this is documented in the book, "The Freed Unit At MGM" by Hugh Fordin, and the 1974 film "That's Entertainment". Must have seemed like she came out of nowhere.

Incidentally, how many 3 star athletes became big names during and/or after their time at OSU? A few 5 stars have completely washed out, too.....just sayin'.

Don't think we need to worry about JK, though. GO BUCKEYES!!!!!

I can only wish this kid the best offensive line possible while he is here. He looks really good so if it's his turn to run the ball so be it. So much talent has toted the rock for the Buckeyes, I just want to see who steps up next and becomes legendary. I honestly don't care who it is based on the depth chart.

I really think if Weber can't go Thursday that he may lose carries for the rest of the season due to Dobbins going for 100+ on the Hoosiers.

If Dobbins pops a big TD run while playing the entire game he just may unseat Weber I think

Pittman and Beanie in '06 comes to mind quick

Edit

Saine and Herron later in the decade
S&H (greens stamps) were pretty decent, but P&B (and jelly) were an excellent combo. When you have two backs each bust for 50+ yard TD runs in the biggest game in the history of The Rivalry...
