20 carries, 51 yards. Ouch.
Agree with this. He's lucky he got that much. Giants were obviously selling out to stop the run and daring Prescott to beat them.
He'll be fine.
Did you even watch the game? The Cowboys OL run-blocked like shit for him all game long...20 carries, 51 yards. Ouch.
Dallas also had zero vertical passing game. Prescott's throws consisted mostly of screens to 15 yard throws. They couldn't stretch the defense whatsoever. Easy to key in on the run when you can keep your safeties a maximum of 18 yards off the line.Did you even watch the game? The Cowboys OL run-blocked like [Mark May] for him all game long...
Moral of the story: It doesn't matter how good your running game is, if your QB doesn't have the ability to stretch a defense with the long ball.Morale of the story: it doesn't matter how good your RB is if your OLine is [Mark May]

Perfect example: Michigan State game last season. Zero passing threat in the game, and the run game couldn't do anything either.
Frederick, their best guy got dinged up in that game as well. But Dallas was playing into New York's strengths all game, so that certainly didn't help. While I agree you have to have the passing game for someone to respect the run. However neither will work if your line is letting linemen in at will
