RB Evan Pryor (transfer to Cincinnati)

"It's Ohio State and I feel like I'm the best. So, you want to compete, you stay and compete," Pryor said. "I feel like guys in the portal are giving it the easy way out of not competing. You come here and you get all these rankings coming out of high school, 'I'm this, I'm that.' Okay, well come show it. And I feel like the portal's just the easy way out. There's a lot of talks about that with me. Not for me. Before I even committed, me, Miyan and Tre were talking about competing every day. So this season is gonna be very interesting. I can't wait."

More Evan Pryors please.

I can see Pryor who not being able to show his true potential until the NFL. But getting there with a lot less beating on his body than his professional peers.
Day is going to need to get creative with Pryor to find him touches. I can see the “Curtis Samuel” position in his future

Not at all, I definitely see that comparison.

I think the size, shiftiness, ability to catch the ball and move the chains just screamed Gio to me. I'm really excited to see what Evan does in Columbus, it looks like he's made a huge leap and is ready for the big stage. As good as Tre and Miyan are, I don't think you can keep Pryor off the field this year.

It's crazy how good this offense is and can be. I'd like to see Evan on the field the same time as Henderson and Williams, but that also means taking out one of our crazy talented WRs. But the mismatches that would be caused by having JSN and Egbuka on the outside and Pryor in the slot, and Henderson in the backfield is worth the price of admission.

“I THINK I'VE PROVEN THAT I'M A WEAPON TO USE AND I CAN HURT PEOPLE. I CAN DO DIFFERENT THINGS, I CAN SCORE POINTS, SO I DEFINITELY PROVED THAT, I BELIEVE.”– EVAN PRYOR

He might be one of the best 3rd string RBs in the country.

I'm asking this question from sheer ignorance, but why isn't he being used more in the return game? Figured that he'd be a perfect fit for KR and PR
I can't wait to see how he's utilized in this offense. But let's be honest, RB get knicked all the time, and I expect him to get some meaningful carries throughout the season. Especially in some blowouts. It'll be fun watching Pryor run crazy against a beaten down Maryland or IU in the 2nd half.

I think Birm was talking about this PR question the other day. Honestly can’t recall if it was w/r/t EP or not. However, the punchline was basically: ‘not everyone has the skills to catch a punt.’

I think that recent history of PRs are pretty solid evidence that it’s a skill position.

Gotcha, makes sense. I always figured it was much harder than just putting someone fast back there like in Madden
