RB Daniel "Boom" Herron (Official Thread)

All things considered, I thought Boom did a good job last night. He moved the pile, he fell forward, he took the hits and didn't topple over like a rag doll... Nice hard nosed workhorse. I'd like to see him rip a few chunks of yards off, but my confidence in him as a RB is increasing.

(Honestly, before yesterday, I've kinda been wondering what the staff was seeing to be as high on him as they have been... but I recognize, of course, they see him a lot more than I do - with my having watched just the spring game and YSU, Ohio before then.. Anyway, now I'm starting to see it is the point.)

Agreed... I feel very confident in Boom's ability to fill in Beanie's shoes while he is out and once he leaves. If Beanie doesn't play next week (and I'm not expecting him to) I'd like to see Boom get 20+ carries to see how he handles that workload.

The thing I love about watching Boom run is that he's stubborn. If there's no hole, he's just going to lower his shoulders and try to make one.

He reminds me of someone... I just can't remember who...

The best part is that he's a RS Frosh! We've got a few more years of his hitting the hole to look forward to.

Yesterday's game obviously left a lot of people :( but waking up today, the sun still came up and rewatching parts of the game leaves me with a lot to :) going forward.

We'll be good, very good. Give 'em (playing) time to develop.

The thing about Boom is that he is a team player, so as well as he played last night, I know that he's going man up and take responsibilty for the loss like everyone else. Even though others may not have done as much, he's going to take a look at himself and figure out what he can do to make himself better.

Nice job lil bro. Keep it up!

Just wanted to add a little "Boom" love to the thread...he did a great job last night, definitely one of the bright spots.

I am honestly pretty shocked he wrestled the #2 spot on the depth chart away from Saine and Mo Wells already but last night was evidence of why that happened.
