Risk - reward right. Although not much of one with as lame as TR is. Booms time went down significantly in favor of the third string back after the second one..

Unless I'm wrong, if he's waived-injured he reverts to their Injured Reserve (where he would miss the season but get paid for it). IF unclaimed. Outside of the Jake Ballard thing injured guys usually aren't claimed by teams. I THINK they could also do a settlement that would free him to sign with other teams (if the injury isn't a true season-ender).

The Bills brought in Boom and Trent Richardson for a workout, and signed Boom - who could very well contribute this weekend with McCoy and Karlos Williams both banged up.

The Bills waived him, Wednesday, and Indianapolis claimed him the next day. Herron will be Frank Gore's primary backup going forward.
