RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

Havn't seen any talk of the issue on here but apparntly BSB's mod Mike had some less then kind things to say about Mr. Wells.
Basically says that he comes with baggage. He has done a lot of back pedaling since coming out with the comments though.

Wells and Olson, it's going to be scary.

Edit: I was just thinking back to last Feb. Talking to my scUM 'buddy' down the hall. We talked about how Mr. Wells was going to be a great recruiting battle. Wasn't long afterwards he became a Buckeye, did very little throughout the whole time to ever convince us that he was thinking otherwise. I can't express my excitment enough on seeing him in S&G.

Wells has done no back pedaling whatsoever and is one of the most humble kids I have ever heard. He comes with as little baggage as a kid with his talent and confidence level can come with.

Not going to get an argument from me there. I was just surprised that the subject hadn't came up here.
He has been pure :osu: from the start. Back-Pedaling, I recall fear of him going on a visit to scUM...but then didn't even go out of respect to OSU. The other worry coming from the fact that Petey was still calling him. So really both scares were 'internet' created because nobody wants to lose someone of his ability; and he did everything in his power to put psycho's like us at ease

exactly...the family painted their house S&G and Chris' mother said his bedroom has an OSU theme to it. This kid is all Buckeye...and zero baggage.

I thought the "back-pedaling" refered to the Mod over at BSB backpedaling from his comments on CW, not Chris Wells back-pedaling out of a commitment.

It did, as he is claiming "I'm not saying its true, but its what I hear". But I figured if thats how it was read that I might as well compliment Wells for putting us at ease of him staying true to his commit.

The purpose of my post was mostly to complain that it seems like they are just trying to pull a ESpiN to gather conversation (And I'm falling into their trap). I mean his complaints were that he wanted to pull himself on some downs, but he was a workhorse that played 2-ways at times and also played through small injury, through in the fact that it is nothing new. It just doesn't seem worth reporting. Also complains about a TEAM-meltdown after one game which included Wells to some degree. Then the mod cops out behind the 'I have sources who say it, it might not be true" just doesn't seem very valid to me. It's old info, and not even info that is concerning... just seems like improper pot-stirring to generate readers, especially for someone of his position and a Buckeye fan.

Maybe the most exciting thing about Wells is that he could probably put another ten pounds of muscle on his legs with ease and still maintain his agility. He cuts quick for a big man, but his frame seems if anything, a bit top-heavy. tOSU's S&C coaches will have him shredded by the time the season starts. He'll be a beast to take down.
