RB Chris "Beanie" Wells (All B1G, All-American)

My buddy from Daytons playbook is huge i cant even begin to imagine how big ohio states is.

Also, I think that pass blocking schemes for a tailback are not as difficult as people are making them out to be. Clarett wasnt an idiot but i cant give him credit for being the brightest crayon in the box(especially in light of recent events). I think Wells will do alright with the blocking schemes, the only thing I think he may have trouble adjusting is the speed and size of the college game. He looked good in AA game, and I cant wait to see him in the spring. Pittman did fine with blocking as a freshman, i dont see any reason that C Wells couldnt.

making boneheaded decisions does not equate to lack of intelligence, but rather a lack of common sense. Clarett was actually a somewhat smart kid by some reports, he just had his head on backwards.

Not saying he was stupid, IMO he wasnt a "smart" kid. I bundle up intelligence and common sense into one. The reasoning, if you have one but not the other it wont matter. Clarett could be a 4.0 student, but to me hes a fucking idiot for yelling at tim spencer on national tv, for ripping osu about his friends funeral, about going to espn and trying to get back at osu, etc etc etc. To me that makes him a dumbass for not thinking and using common sense. Regaurdless if it was jim borwn, his mom, whoever.. I will never consider Clarett a smart kid.

Being a smart is more than knowing blocking schemes and getting decent grades IMO.

I don't disagree with you, but that's not useful to the conversation here. The point was, MoC had a remarkable ability both physically and mentally to instantly be a star at OSU. Asanine off-field decisions aside, he is far ahead of your average frosh RB in both departments.

I think it is total BS that we wasting space and time talking about a complete bum criminal like Mo C in Chris Well's thread. Man I hope this young man does not have to bare these demons and comparisons of that f*** while he is there.

Chris Wells *seems* (don't know him at all) like a great young man who will make his own mark at OSU. I hope he does great, but the expectations we are giving him coming in is ridiculous IMO. We have a GREAT back in Pittman. I hope Wells gets his 8-10 carries a game and does great with them and learns all he needs to become a great back at OSU.

Go Bucks!!
