RB Bri'onte Dunn (dismissed from team)

Good point. If the LSU influence would come along with the OC then it could continue to be 3 and a cloud of dust. Also, I just don't see the equation changing all much much on O, at lest not at first. Running the ball is what we are built for now and any quality HC will use the weapons that are all ready there.

Just some food for thought...

If Urban were to come to Columbus and bring Greg Studrawa with him, I wouldn't expect our offense to be a spread based on Urban's name alone, especially considering the kind of RBs we have at our disposal (Dunn included) and what Studrawa has going on at LSU. LSU's offense (under Studrawa's direction) is running a smash-mouth operation with a balanced passing attack. Look no further than the Alabama/LSU game where LSU attempts 10 passes the entire game. What RB wouldn't want to play in that offense? The most passes they've thrown in a single game this year is 28 (@WVU) and the average looks like about 18-20 attempts per game... hardly spread-ish. Dunn could be the Spencer Ware for this future Buckeye offense if Urban and Studrawa were to make their way to Columbus, as rumored.

Good point, now we just need the new coaches to tell him that.

If Meyer is announced, then it doesn't matter what Dunn does or doesn't say. If Meyer wants him back, he'll get him back. Heck, I'm pretty much convinced after seeing how well he recruited at Florida that Meyer could get Kalis to switch on signing day if he wanted.
It's a known fact that Urban Meyer's best recruiter while at Florida was Greg Mattison.

Charlie Strong says hello.
I never said Charlie wasn't a good recruiter.

I am just saying that Greg Mattison, in his own right, is a pretty good recruiter.

As far as the topic at hand, I can't pick where Dunn goes. Both places make sense, just wish him well wherever he goes.

Studrawa is a spread guy. This isn't really his offense this year but he's still doing a great job with play calling. He was also very successful at BG earlier this decade. Guy can coach.

My hope is we run a pro-spread which would be great. People get this idea that Urban doesn't like power backs which is foolish, DeShawn Wynn was his lead back for 2 years and Tim Tebow was a FB that could throw the ball.

1 year without having a power back and his offense sucked. The guy likes speed but if you can't get a yard or 2 when you need then your offense is useless.

I'm just looking forward to a non-Bollman offense. Pretty much anything is an upgrade and our best offense this year is Braxton improvs.

I hope Brionte joins us, won't be the end of the world if he doesn't. Will just make the rivalry more interesting.

These situations never work out for the team that has the commitment. I'd say he's 95% Michigan, 5% Ohio State at this point.
I just love this sort of unsupported, pessimistic misery.

No, seriously, I really do love it. Makes me appreciate my own optimism all the more.
