Here are highlights of Saine vs. Grove City. he looks like he is definitely a RB. Enjoy!

great find... this shows how impressive his night was. His ability to shrug off tons of tacklers was incredible. The coaches may want to use Saine in many ways, but this kid can run the football.

Plus I made a few cameos in my red shirt and khaki shorts :p

Wow, looks a little different than last year's highlight reel. He really shows some good runs and tackle-breaking ability. Is it just me or is he a little bigger too? I wonder what size he's playing at right now? Does anyone know when Piqua's next game is? I can't help but fast-forward my thinking to a year a so from now with Wells and Saine in the backfield... unstoppable?? He really does look like a true RB.

why did they even kick to him once, and then a second time?

I think they trusted their stud kicker (definitely D1 material), who I believe had two touchbacks at first. If they had squibbed from the beginning, I'm not sure if Piqua would have been able to overcome the Grove City domination/momentum (which was the case before the first KR TD). I have no idea why they kicked to him again... tho they figured it out after he amassed 190 yds on those two returns

darn... beat me to it...

when i was watching it, i was thinking that he didn't really look that fast (aside from passing everyone, that is), but then it came to me that he has a relatively short stride, so the look test must be deceiving... he kinda reminds me of Jerome Bettis before he balooned up to 250 pounds... or maybe Keith Byars, who never had a really long stride, but still had plenty of wheels...

<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :eek --> all i can think about is, if he ran a 10.38, just wait until Butch Reynolds and Eric Lichter get ahold of him... his stride will lengthen, and he'll be much more explosive...

215-220 seems to be what most people say he weighs right now.

That video is sick.

I know that there was a knock on him that he might just be a straight ahead runner, but from those videos, he just doesnt go down. He has great body control and is real shiffty and with him being as big as he is he can run through arm tackles. I say line him up in the backfield and give him 20 carries a game. Screw the WR bull, he needs his hands on the ball about as many times as possible.

True, this is a kid that you will not take down with a arm tackle. If you don't hit him square on(In the open field), he is gone. Hell even if you hit him square on, he still might run you over.

Josh what did you think of the atmosphere at Grove City?

Not many schools in Central Ohio can match it.
it was impressive... it reminded me a lot of my alma mater (Lakeshore High School, Stevensville, MI). Tho our band could mop the floor with theirs [/bandsmack:!]

I've gotta ask, what the heck is this mascot? I thought they were the grove city greyhounds...
