RB Brandon "Zoom" Saine (official thread)

It would also fit in another less obvious way, given Brandon's quoted high goal to net a Heisman award and an Olympic Gold Medal

Jesse Owens is shown in one photo wearing the number 777 when representing the USA Olympic team in Berlin. All the 7's :oh: :io:

Nice idea, but you notice how the first number doesn't have the serif on the end that dips down while the other two do?

I'm pretty sure the number in those pics is 733

Of course maybe the "one photo" he was shown wearing 777 isn't one of the ones you posted :tongue2:

I don't know much about Piqua football except that I hear they have an awesome football stadium and the Buckeyes that are from there...does anyone have their schedule for the upcoming season? I might head out if they are playing someone in Central Ohio

RB07 put that video up on page 7 of this thread.

On 2nd glance at that video, it shows a lot of progression in him as the season went on (if it was shown in chronological order). He relied HEAVILY on his speed at the beginning of the video, making few or no moves... just straight north/south. The middle and end showed him bowling through tackles and making decent jukes to gain extra yards. He reminds me a lot of Clemson's C.J. Spiller last year. Their videos are spitting images of each other.

Edit: Well, maybe not spittin', but they are of the same mold and C.J. was much more polished and less raw than Saine is at this point.

That's a great one where he carries that LB into the end zone, practically 5-6 yards.

ntd - there are other views - none of which might convince you, but put simply, you can see 7 as the first number in one, 7 or 77 as the middle or last two numbers in the others.

It would be easy to make a 7 look like a 3 with ruffling or wrinkling of the number tag - which is what you may be seeing. It is virtually impossible to alter a 3 to a 7 in a similar fashion - or any fashion for that matter. Or perhaps he would prefer to keep his high school number (28) and the whole debate is done with.

Well, he'd have to debate with a certain man named Wells over that number, and I don't think he's giving it up.

One sees JT's in-depth strategy for his coaching staff and recruitments. What continues to come through is Tressel's good character and integrity: a compelling appeal to parents and players.

It was good reading: AJ's comments recently about JT being essentially ignored by media prior to last Fiesta. This, after Hawk's pick in draft; a nice touch of recognition and loyalty to his CF HC.

His highly touted track backround reminds me somewhat of Chris Sanders in the mid 90s here at O-State. I thought Tedd Ginn would fill that mold more, accelerating in track while being on a really good football team. However, Im sure with Brandons goals, he will continue to run track here in Columbus as well.

I'm pretty sure that he will be running track here at OSU. If you have the premium membership, check out the article. It talks about why he choose OSU and how he plans to run track in college.

This kid is super quick with an odd running style. I agree that he made some progressions through the vid, but at the begining he had a hard time with his lateral movement. Can't wait to see him as a buckeye, and don't forget that Teddy said he was going to run track here as well. I am not sure that these kids realize that Buckeye football is a year round event.
