BB73;2025312; said:I've hated them for about 45 years, long before I moved to Chicago and became a Bears fan. When I was a kid, they were winning all the time with Lombardi.
Being the antithesis of a bandwagon fan, I developed a lifelong hatred of the Yankees, Celtics, and Packers during the '60s.

Hard not to be a fan of Woodson, the guy is a class act (other then sweeping our Buckeyes, ofcourse)

Saine No. 3: Brandon Saine, promoted from the practice squad this week to replace injured Alex Green, probably will have a tough time getting snaps at halfback as long as James Starks, Ryan Grant and fullback John Kuhn are healthy.
Saine?s best chance to play, after special teams, is on passing downs ? he and Green are the Packers? most natural receivers out of the backfield. But Starks and Kuhn have been sharing duties on passing downs, and even Green, a third-round draft pick, was having trouble getting on the field. He had three carries and one reception before his season-ending torn ACL at Minnesota on Oct. 23.
?(Saine) has got great hands, great hands out of the backfield, good vision in space,? said Jerry Fontenot, the Packers? running backs coach. ?His heart is in inside zone running, he?s capable of contributing. It?s just going to be a matter of feeling out when his opportunity will come.?
Rookie running back Brandon Saine, who was promoted from the practice squad last Monday, was active and played on several prominent special teams units, including kickoff cover and kickoff return. He made one special teams tackle.
You're telling me. That defense is going to be the death of me by the end of the year.JohnnyCockfight;2029541; said:Would love to see Saine get a chance to catch some passes from Rodgers. If the Packers' defense could only show up one Sunday and help make it a blow out so the third-stringers could get in...

Might also have something to do with Peprah. He isn't a natural FS, he's a SS and he doesn't have the leadership qualities that Collins did, so I think that's where a lot of the miscommunication is coming from. Shields and Williams playing injured doesn't help much either. We also still don't have a rusher opposite Matthews.brodybuck21;2029611; said:you and me both. Do we miss Nick Collins that much?
saw Saine on the sideline and he looked sweet in his #33 Packers uni. Congrats to him!

And yes, I believe losing Collins (and even Cullen Jenkins) hurts more than most people think.
It's a combination of both things IMO: lackluster coverage by the secondary and no push up the middle. It's especially evident in games like yesterday when we can't even force quarterbacks into their third read.brodybuck21;2029684; said:there it is. no constant pass rush up the middle. pickett and raji are great run stuffers but as pass rushers jenkins was the best last year
