I didn't think it would catch too many headlines, but it should. Too bad. Ray Charles, listening to him sing, can turn any bad day into something uniquely different.

What a titan of music...everyone should really take a moment and thank him for everything he did for music and American culture. What a great man...RIP.

Betcha he didn't see it comin'. OK, that was uncalled for. As said above, the man was a huge influence in American, and indeed world, music. His works touched millions of lives.

As much as I love Willie Nelson I think Ray's version of "Georgia" is still the best.

I wouldn't consider myself a "fan" of Ray's, but I have tremedous respect for his talents, and I've always thought he was cool. I know everybody's got to go, but it's a bummer....
