He did indeed. Here's another piece of work he recently completed. Notre Dame cathedral in Paris. Took two years to complete and is made up of 298,000 matchsticks & 2,000 toothpicks.

I really dig those matchstick models. My favorite medium is LEGO, but, while I have buckets and buckets of LEGO at home, the one thing I don't have is time. I continue to be amazed at the intricacy of the work some of these guys do. Wish I had the time and the talent to do this stuff.
