I quit smoking the day after the Michigan game. I was planning on quitting on Thanksgiving. My Grandparents were coming to town, and my grandpa was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. I was quitting as a tribute to him. We always have shared that common bond at family gatherings(havig a "ciggie" to get away from the crowd). Something that hit that close to home made my decision a little easier. So the day before The Game I told my wife if tOSU wins then I would quit after that nights celebration. The next day, after 10 years of smoking a pack a day I have been able to quit cold turkey. 2 months around 20 days and counting...

I give up. This board is too hard to understand.
I've had two so far today... shitty day at work and I lit up without even thinking about it. I think the key is not having any smokes on me

I'm to the point now that I rarely even think about smoking unless I'm drinking... as was the case last night.

That was the opposite for me. When I tried last week I didn't have any cigs. and it drove me crazy so I would bum. Sunday evening I bought a pack and smoked most of it and 3 on monday. Those cigs stayed in my glovebox all week until last night.FKAGobucks877 said:

Well Guys... I decided to give it another shot. Last night I made the decision that I am finished with smoking. This time I'm going to do it cold turkey instead of trying to slowly try to quit by cutting them out of my life. Wish me luck!
