QB1 Will Howard (National Champion)

He may not ever have much of a pro career, but this dude Should never have to buy a drink in Columbus again.

Will showed more improvement from playoff prep and the last 4 games than he had the previous entire regular season. Went from UDFA to giving himself a serious shot at hearing his name called. Being QB1 on a National Championship team also can't hurt on the resume'. Absolutely insane turnaround that he should be proud of.

Grateful for all his hard work and leadership during his time at tOSU.

Said it in the game thread, but this kid is just a leader. Plain and simple.
Yep. Trying to think of a better QB/leader that we've had. We've certainly had more talented/productive guys, flashier guys, more decorated (individually) guys. Definitely more hyped guys. But having a hard time finding one that did a better job of walking the walk and truly LEADING.

I'll admit I was pretty "meh" when we snagged him. I was thinking "KSU's QB? That's who we're gonna bank on?" Another thing I was very, very wrong about. Guy was here one year and made himself a Legend.

Probably the last leader we had at QB close to this was JT Barret.

Yes he was he missed 2 throws all night in the NC. That's how high level his play was. QB's miss 2 throws against air routinely in their their Pro Day against air. 1st round 1 pick QBs

Sheeeiiit. He'll never have to buy one in Downingtown again.
If I see Will anywhere, a blank check will be given for his tab. To do what he did with one year in our program and to develop that trust and leadership...seriously, holy shit that is impressive.

His actual ability gets overshadowed by his leadership traits imo, but the combination was exactly what this team needed given the moving parts surrounding him.

Very interesting comments from Ryan Day on Will during this morning’s press conference in Atlanta:

”When Will’s feet are right, he is as good as anybody I’ve been around. His accuracy, his ability to see, the way he commands the team, his work he puts in. I think the thing that nobody’s probably gonna understand how much credit he deserves, is how much he can take on.

“I don‘t think there was … I mean, to say 90% of the calls that went in the other day had 2 or 3 plays into it. So he’s calling a play or two in the huddle and then checking the play at the line of scrimmage. That’s NFL material right there. That’s special. So whichever organization decides to draft Will is going to get like a pro Day One walking in the door.”
