QB1 Julian Sayin (National Champion)

I feel like we will know how the season is going to go after Saturday's game. Right now I have no idea if Just is going to be the next coming of CJ or Tate/Bauserman/Boeckman.
You've been watching the sport for how long? Anyone who thinks they know how an entire season will go based on the opening game is naive or doesn't pay attention to history

There's a hell of a lot of room between those two things. Also, you're doing Boeckman dirty. Finally, Haskins or Germaine seem like more likely OSU QB comparables for Sayin than any of the guys you've listed.

We may not have known until we did, but I'd be surprised if anyone in the Woody thought they had more than we got out of Tate, Bauserman, or Boeckman before their first real minutes.

Couldn’t have been more impressed with his debut. Only 2 things I could fault him for was not letting it fly early on to Jeremiah. And then throwing it away instead of going down to keep the clock going on the last possession that gave Texas the ball back. Otherwise he was on the money. Didn’t force throws, didn’t take a sack, didn’t appear frustrated by 3 early drops. This Texas defense is very good, and for his first start I am very pleased. Stats weren’t great, but 0 sacks and 0 turnovers matter as much as big yards and td’s.

Did enough to secure the W like Day wanted. I can see him putting up big numbers in most games as well. The OL gave him time. Playing the #1 team in the country is a major caveat when people are looking at his stats. He played with great poise and maturity. OSU is in great hands with Sayin

Sayin: "Just going out there and playing one play at a time and focusing on my job."

Just sayin': Mission accomplished; and by the way, Justin Sayin will remember this game the rest of his life.

P.S. and fuck Jim Harbaugh.

It's not that Ohio State's offense wowed. A unit that proved deadly in last year's College Football Playoff en route to a national championship mustered just 203 total yards -- the Buckeyes' worst regular-season output since 2015. But new quarterback Julian Sayin avoided any catastrophic mistakes and delivered a 40-yard dagger to Carnell Tate in the fourth quarter despite no one even knowing who his uncles are. If it wasn't an emphatic endorsement for the 2025 version of Ohio State, it was a reminder the Buckeyes will not be swept aside without a fight.
