It has come up before .... on BP, I think:

Javier Estopinian (sp?), a DL that eventually signed with Florida, was an accomplished HS wrestler that probably would've red-shirted for football as a freshman - but he still would've counted against football if he came here.

Does it have something to do with official visits?

Once Wisconsin got the lead the crowd got LOUD when Wisconsin had the ball. We went down by 7 at the 6:53 mark of the 3rd quarter (I believe). From that point on the crowd was on its feet until the game was no longer in doubt.

From my seats (22c) I agree, the crowd was avg. at best until Wisc. took the lead. Overall nowhere close to home games that had any significance in the past 3 years. I was quite surprised.

I am going to chalk the late crown enthusiasm to it being a noon game.
I think if the kick was 3:30, the 'shoe would have been rockin for all 60 mins.

Or it could been the semi-sloppy play and not really kicking it into gear until the bucks we're staring at a loss. Thank Wiscy for the wake-up call and some adversity.

i completely agree. i attended the game with a few friends and sat in C-deck in a student section. i feel like most of the students were too sober/hungover to get as into the game as most of the 3:30 starts.

basketball) shall be counted in football. A counter who was not recruited and/or offered financial aid to participate
in football and who competes in football and one or more sports (including basketball) shall be counted in

I just got bac to NY from my 12 hour bus ride to CBus.. Granted I hadnt been to a game since 02 but I thought the crowd was pretty amped.. especially for our defense and especially in the second half...

I dunno.. I sat in a student secton and everyone was screaming their lungs out, but to me the biggest issue with noise was pointed out above.. in that the two endzones and corners are always up and screaming, but there is a large portion between the 20s where you have a lot of older fans, who just cant get up and scream all game...

Anyway, I thought the atmosphere was pretty great, but as I said, I hadnt been to a game since 02...

At any rate, being around the stadium and campus on game day, the buzz around the stadium, the great weather (got a sunburn), the band, the tradition, etc.. Im blown away by it every time I go to a game.. so I imagine Terrelle had a great time
