Seven years later, there is an “Everybody Hates Chris” spinoff. Only you can’t find it on any television network. It’s only available in NFL stadiums and locker rooms around the country.
“Everybody Hates Terrelle” is spreading fast. First, Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins ripped Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor — “You a S— Eater to me, u really sucks,” Jenkins wrote on Twitter — then Adam “Pacman” Jones did the same, calling him “garbage” and using the trash bin as a prop.

Now it is Pryor’s former teammate, Brian Hartline, who said Wednesday he doesn’t believe Pryor is consistent enough for a big contract.
“If I’m building a team, what is he?” Hartline said. “Is he my No. 1? God, I hope not. Because let’s put it this way: For me, I want a guy day in and day out I know what I’m getting. You don’t know what you’re going to get.”
Hartline was Pryor’s teammate with the Browns for one game last year before being cut, and the two played together at Ohio State in 2008. Pryor was banned from Ohio State for five years after the NCAA found he was trading his memorabilia for tattoos, resulting in a five-game suspension, and also because he failed to cooperate with the NCAA regarding the investigation.
Pryor broke into the NFL with the Raiders as a quarterback, and made the change to wide receiver last year. He’s enjoyed a breakout season, leading the Browns with 67 catches for 877 yards and four touchdowns. That hasn’t changed Hartline’s mind about him, though.
“I’m very apprehensive as a Cleveland Browns guy to give out a contract,” said Hartline, who peaked with a pair of 70-catch, 1,000-yard seasons for the Dolphins in 2012-13 and made a career-high $4.8 million the following season.
“You’re trying to tell me with a guy that had suspect personality characteristics, I’m going to go ahead and hand you a bunch of money, then you’re going to work harder? Uh, I think I’m going to bet against that if I’m a betting man.
“So, I hope he does well. I’ve been rooting. And let me be very clear: When he was here, when he came in last year, he in no way, shape or form had the right mentality or the right ability to … well, he had the ability … the right mindset to be an NFL wide receiver. He left, got some work, changed his mindset, came back and is being productive. And that’s kind of where I would leave it.”
