QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

It would be a shame if true IMO. Essentially chased out of town by a bunch of too-quick-to-judge-without-knowing-the-facts "fans" who need to learn when to shut their pie-holes.

The degree to which venom has been directed at Terrelle Pryor is more befitting an axe-murderer than a somewhat self-absorbed young athlete who has made some poor, but not (so far as we know) illegal, choices.
i have little to no sympathy for either. if one or the other was truly innocent they would be clear vindicated. the reality is "real buckeyes" would have stuck it out and helped their team in any and every way possible, if that means playing scout team, then you bust your tail to help your team, just as literally hundreds (or close to that) teammates have done to prepare the team in the last three years. the reality is the kid was around town shopping for handouts, got inked up, sold his stuff, committed violations. life is tough as the qb at ohio state, that being said, play your cards right and ride the gravy train to a life of 250k+ jobs for your life by keeping your nose clean and acting like most/all of us on this board do.

it is a sad day, yet merely shows once again that no man/player/coach/student/prof/staff member/janitor is larger than this great institution.

where tp rates historically, probably landed himself in the art/moc discussion with a chance to possibly turn his life around and follow the foot steps of a guy like cris carter who also got tossed/quit/left the team after run ins with ncaa compliance issues...

best of luck. find yourself a good positive role model(s) and avoid the clingons that have impacted your life so negatively in the past...

Soooo... Anyone interested in talking about espn's latest allegations?

This guy. I've never wanted to be able to skip a post for seeing the word "penis" at a peripheral glance.

But seriously, I just assume the worst at this point. And really with Pryor, it just isn't surprising. I really having nothing good to say at all, so I will refrain from even commenting on him leaving.

Do you guys agree with me here? I just wrote this article. Also, for future reference, do I post the whole article here in quotes, as the full article is pretty long.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/727261-terrelle-pryors-rise-and-fall-and-the-hype-machine

Back in 2008, there was a certain 6'6", 235 lbs QB from outside of Pittsburgh that was being compared to Vince Young, the incredible dual threat QB at Texas who accounted for 467 yards in the thrilling National Championship win against highly touted USC.

Not only was he a five star football recruit on Rivals (ranked #1 in his entire class) but he also excelled on the basketball court, garnering a 4 star ranking. Frank Coyle of Rivals wrote about Pryor: "A superior athlete with the height to fill out further and the speed and agility to be a huge factor outside the pocket." He also won state titles in both football and basketball. Pretty much any school in the country would have loved to have him, but Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State were the early front runners. The recruitment of him was so intense and widely followed, The Cleveland Plain Dealer called it "the most publicized recruiting saga in college football history".

On the first day that recruits could officially sign with a school, Terrelle Pryor held a news conference in his high school's gym to announce where he would be playing college football. The decision? There was none, as Pryor said that he still needed more time to think and hinted at taking a closer look at Penn State and Oregon. While shocking, this also created more time for the media to guess and analyze everything about this prized player, sending the hype surrounding him to new levels...

This may have been discussed, but...Any chance Pryor tries for the NBA? He'll lose alot of the stigma (because of this incident) that's waiting in the NFL. CBA worries. I don't know shit about the supplementary draft could he make more by going NBA? Can he get in this years draft? Just some thoughts.

Seems unlikely he would go to the NBA.

He refused to be moved to WR, let alone basketball.

Honestly thanks for all you did Terrelle....

Yes it's not what we all envisioned when we first signed him but he brought us countless great moments. He made a mistake that honestly a lot of young teens would make but I'm more than sure he never intended for any of this to occur. I'm sure it was just as hard for Terrelle to see a father figure be forced out due to a mistake he made. He was made into a menace and has his reasons for parting with the University he loved.

Thanks for all the great moments....
Yes it hurts but it's not all his fault.

Goodluck T.P. you're a part of the Buckeye Family and I hope one day fans can forgive you; whenever this nightmare ends. :oh:
