Wow did he look great! It didnt look like he was looking down his receivers too long, he just took the check downs when he needed to. It looks likes he is alot more comfortable in the pocket, he only ran it a few times. He did have a few bad throws, but other than that looks real good. Cant wait for next weeks showdown of the quarterbacks, and for pryor to show Miami what he can do.

FYI for those that care:

Statistically, this was Pryors 3rd best game ever from a QB rating perspective. Only his game(s) against Troy in '08 and Northwestern in '08 were better.

This was the second time ever that he's gone over a 160 QB rating while attempting more than 20 passes...He beat his previous best in a game with 20 passes by over 30 points in QB rating ('09 against Toledo). This was also his 3rd best game in terms of total passing yardage with Toledo '09 and the Rose Bowl game having him earn more yardage.

Also, its only the 2nd time he's thrown for 3 touchdowns without an INT. The other game being Northwestern '08.

Good start to the year, I'd say.

Oregon I said the exact same thing. It was like he was in total control of everything that was going on out there. Was never rushed in a decision. Took what was there, checked off. Totally Smith-esque.

Looked very good from what I saw in 5c. Still shaky on a few passes but his ability in reading the defense has improved tremendously. There were throws open underneath that last year he would of taken for 5 to 10 yard gains that he instead waited another half a second to a second and threw to for 20 to 30 yard gains. oh and loved to see him reading what Marshall was doing and pointing out where the pressure would be coming from to his lineman.

TP's was 190.592 last night. Sure, Marshall probably isn't quite as good as the average of the defenses he'll face this year; but I'll bet that he has at least 3 games this year with efficiency over 200.

Terrelle looked very good last night, but frankly he had all freaking night to throw. Almost no pressure whatsoever (except when the 2nd-team OL was in - what a contrast to the starters). Our O-line played lights-out, which helps the QB to look good.

Agreed. Even in the post-game they noted that he had as much as 3 seconds to throw. That's an eternity.

I would imagine that he will as well. He's only had 3 games, including Marshall, over 200. He should get over 200 vs. EMU and IU...Possibly over 200 in a Tressle-esque revenge beatdown on Purdue. Who says he goes from 5 turnovers to 5 TDs in that game? ;-)

This is a key point. I still want to see how he reacts to pressure. A couple of really bad throws deep (that good teams would probably pick off) gives me some pause, but I think (hope) that was just a case of his being over confident against a weaker opponent. Overall though, couldn't ask for a much better start. His mechanics looked sinificantly improved and he had good zip on most of his throws. Just gotta lay off the 90 mph fastballs to his running backs...

He had 2,100 yds last year. So that wouldn't be that much of a stretch. I hope he gets to 3,000, but he does look good.
