No. 47: Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor- THE PARTICULARS: 6-6/233, Jr.; Jeannette (Pa.) High

THE BUZZ: Pryor seems on his way to living up to the hype that came from him being named the top prospect in the 2008 signing class. Last season, Pryor was just the eighth-rated passer in the Big Ten but led the Buckeyes in rushing. To become a legit Heisman contender, he needs to improve as a passer. Pryor finished ?09 with a bang, throwing for 266 yards and two TDs in a Rose Bowl victory over Oregon.

This just reminds me how much we depended on Terrelle to lead our team... Boy I sure hope someone steps up just a little more so that Pryor doesn't have to carry us that much (although he probably will). I for one hope we beat the teams we are suppose to beat like Marshall and Ohio University soundly by halftime so we can get him out of the game.

Last year I remember against New Mexico State thinking "Boy he's taking a beating in this game" and come to find out that's when it became evident that he was injured. If Saine, Herron, Hall, and Berry can go for around 2,000 yards total rushing yards i'll bet Pryor is in better shape by the years end.

It's easier to carry a team when you have teammates whose performance makes the other team have to game plan for them.

I think this team seriously NEEDED the Purdue game last year. The entire team grew and grew up from that experience.

I just hope he has that eye-black message thing down pat this year. I assume that Tress has a chart for him.

NO! - - - - - - - - ACCEPTABLE

Kim Il-Jong - - Lady GaGa

Lane Kiffin - - Any former tOSU coach

Bucky Katt - - Almost anyone not Bucky Katt

Trying to get penalties on the Buickeyes? That stuff is against the rules now.

I'm beginning to think there's a lot of Tebow(minus the religious aspects) in TP. Same kind of athletic QB. Not a pro-typical passer. A great college QB who may end up as a specialist/package player in the NFL.
Now, If he can just win us a National Championship......................

Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor says he's healthy, ready for camp - ESPN
Pryor says he's healthy

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor can't wait for the preseason to start next month.

The junior says he's 100 percent healthy after surgery February to repair some minor damage in his left knee. He concedes that he was limited by the knee injury in the last few games of last season but told The Associated Press this week that he has been working out with his receivers this summer and is anxiously awaiting Aug. 5, when the Buckeyes report to camp.

Coach Jim Tressel says he has no concerns about Pryor's health. Tressel, going into his 10th year, says his biggest concern is that Pryor -- considered by many as one of the top contenders in the Heisman Trophy race -- spends too much time working out and watching film.

Ohio State opens its season Sept. 2 at home against Marshall.

I've heard from a few people that TP does a ridiculous amount of working out.

Not that that's a bad thing. I just hope he doesn't get too big and lose what makes him unique.

TP is also rehabbing. The kid has such a big frame that even an extra twenty pounds will not make him perceptively less mobile.

I wasn't necessarily talking about right now. Heard that he's always worked out a ton.

I don't have a problem with it, just saying really. :tongue2:
