MCL is not the PCL. Medial Cruciate Ligament is on the inside of the knee while the Posterior Cruciate Ligament connects from the front of the Femur (thigh bone) to the back of the Tibia (shin). However, PCL's are less serious as an ACL/MCL tear.

Also PCL surgery isn't very common and is a pretty complicated/difficult surgery. However regardless, ligament surgery in the knee is always nothing that should/can be taken lightly. Especially for just wearing a brace for a month.

Hopefully a speedy recover for TP

The Lantern - Pryor had surgery on injured knee

Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor underwent surgery on his right knee earlier this week, team spokeswoman Shelly Poe told The Lantern.

Pryor played the second half of the season with a partial tear of his posterior cruciate ligament. He originally suggested that the injury occurred in his left knee, but the surgery was conducted on his right knee.

?He had a routine arthroscopic procedure performed on his right knee,? Poe said. ?Good news is everything checked out fine and he should make a quick recovery.?

Pryor is expected to return to health in time for spring practices, which begin April 1.

people also need to be aware of the mental aspect of knee injuries. its typically something that lingers for a while. i wouldn't be surprised if it takes pryor a little while to get back to full speed 100% or not.

Not that it matters, of course--it's still the same thing. It's hard as heck to go full-go on anything that's been injured. There's just always the fear of "what if it comes back again?" Especially if it's something that you had surgery on... You just become timid for a while, and it's hard to overcome that. Hopefully he makes a speedy physical and mental recovery.

Hurt his knee on the Washington TD run his freshman year and had a "scope".
